Joe Ellis
Pastor Ellis has been on staff for 6 years, he took over as Pastor in 2004 after serving as 2 years as Assistant.  He has been involved in ministry since a teenager as his father F. Joe Ellis started a church in Canton, Ohio in 1980.  Joe has taken leadership courses since age 12 and has went to Indiana Bible College for Theology, graduated from Stark Tech College with an Associates of Science in Business Management, graduated from Malone College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and is currently enrolled in Purpose Institute studying Pastoral Studies.  He is a firm believer in education and training, and is a self proclaimed lifetime student.  His short term goal is a Bachelor Degree in Pastoral Studies, with his mid-long range goal is to receive a Master’s Degree in Theology.  One of his favorite statements is “It’s not about where you are but where your going”, because it is never too late to change.

Hirma Ellis
Pastor Ellis had the privilege of meeting Hirma at Indiana Bible College as she was studying Christian Education.  She was born in Colorado, but lived the majority of her life in Florida.  It is very apparent after watching her and listening to her for just a short while that she has a passion for God that is not matched by many. This she claims was from the example of her father as she grew up. From a young age herself she had felt a call for ministry, but didn’t know that call would bring her to Ohio from sunny Florida. She does have one other passion, her family. The Ellis’s have two young boys, Joey age 5 who is the strong silent type, and Jared age 3 who is the hambone (Nickname given to him by his father).
